Planning a trip to Varanasi can feel overwhelming — there is so much to see and experience. We have answered the most common questions to help you plan the perfect Kashi journey.
The best time to visit Kashi is from October to March when the weather is pleasant (15-25°C). This period includes major festivals like Dev Deepawali (November), Mahashivratri (February/March), and the spring season. Avoid May-June as temperatures can reach 45°C. Monsoon (July-September) brings rain but also a mystical atmosphere.
For a meaningful experience of Kashi, we recommend at least 2-3 days. One day covers the key highlights (Kashi Vishwanath, Ganga Aarti, boat ride). Two days adds Sarnath and a heritage walk. Three days allows you to truly absorb the spiritual atmosphere, explore lesser-known ghats, and attend both morning and evening ceremonies.
Our packages typically include: expert local guide, boat rides, temple visits, hotel transfers, and local insights. The Ganga Aarti is a spectacular fire ceremony held on the banks of the Ganges River. The main ceremony takes place at Dashashwamedh Ghat every evening at sunset (around 6:30-7:30 PM, varying by season). Priests perform synchronized rituals with large brass lamps, incense, and conch shells. There is also a smaller morning aarti at sunrise. This is the single most iconic experience in Varanasi.
